Scott and I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Victory Junction Gala this evening. We had the pleasure of dining with Richard Petty himself as well as Mark Schumacher, CDO of VJ and the Plyler family. Mr. Petty is such a delightful and down to earth man. We have always known the VJ was an amazing place; but, to actually get to hear the stories and see the videos of where kids can just be kids no matter the circumstances touched us. Weve been invited to tour and Scott is looking forward to it. I think hes realizing God has plans to use him in other ways! So so wonderful just to see his excitement!!!!! Ps....yes....we had our picture made with Mr. Petty; but, it was by the professional photographers. Were to get a copy and well post later. Petty jokingly told Scott that he was gonna be cropped out (leaving only myself and Petty).
