Scottish (Coatbridge) duo Martin & James may currently not be well known names here in the UK but in Germany and central Europe the guys are seen as one of the hottest properties in music. They left the UK frustrated by way the music industry works here and moved to Berlin and were signed to Universal music within 6 months of arriving there. They have toured constantly across Europe with the likes of Razorlight, The Stereophonics, Simply Red, Paul Wellar and even Taylor Swift building a fervent fanbase. Their self titled debut album was packed with uplifting harmonies and killer choruses and firmly established them in the German music scene. They have just finished recording their second album and having heard the early mixes, I can say it is amazing and blows their debut away. Check the guys out at martinandjames. It is hard to believe that no label here in the UK had the foresight to sign these guys when they had the chance.
