Screw you, Music. I quit. Years and years of attempting to hone my skills, hours of practice, sleepless nights working out riffs - I just cant take it anymore. All this time and effort simply isnt worth it. Time and time again, on a variety of instruments, Ive tried to express Your essence and mine alike, to play something thats never been played before and find a new trail through ageless traditions, but I simply cannot continue. I thank You for all the horrible, frustrating moments Youve given me. This is where I draw the line. From now on and Ill be admiring You from a distance, and Ill find a more relaxing hobby instead - like fingerpainting. (And to you, dear reader: Ill be selling my guitars and darbuka in the coming weeks, keep an eye on my Facebook if you want to give my darlings a new life).
