Our music channels are launching shitty reality shows every month, we have channels like aastha and shraddha where Nirmal Baba is solving our issues by making us do what not, and we have IndiaTV as our news channel. Some facts and figures: Our television industry will be making US$ 28.1 billion (About INR 16,44,41,20,00,000, please some one read that for me) by 2015 EACH YEAR. Our television industry is predicted to take over USA in terms of no. of DTH users very soon with current figures being 54.52 million users. Thats 5,45,20,000 homes using DTH services in India. Small comparisons: They have been making some of the most remarkable TV series since early 90s, be it Friends, Simpsons, Sopranos, or the recent ones like Game of thrones, Suits, Breaking Bad, White collar etc. When our writers somehow managed one good show Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai the cast bailed out on the director because they were too busy doing something else. After so many years, Colors and Anil kapoor launched a series 24, even that was adapted as it is from the Fox networks series 24 which aired in USA in 2001.
