Scrolling through FB this morning and reading different newspapers - TopicsExpress

Scrolling through FB this morning and reading different newspapers from all over the world, I am being drawn into the vortex of the conflict that is currently flaming up again in Israel & Palestine. On FB, in newspapers and in forums I observe how the symptoms of conflict are spreading through blame, accusations, fears and most of all the simplification of something extremely complex with far-reaching implications of past and present. I feel the symptoms in my own body, while reading through opposing, calming or fiery statements. I can relate to most of them in one way or the other, and I can understand and feel the urge to find an answer. An urge that might express itself through wanting to know for sure who is right or wrong. It´s just too human, and in times of stress, danger it just gets stronger. Our instincts want to know where to turn and whom to align with - and even though I (along with actually most other commenters on the global net) sit in a beautiful and peaceful environment, but our social nervous system hooks into the stress just as nature devised it to, and soon enough we are fighting another war of comments. I don´t have any answers to any of this, but what it does to me this morning, is to reflect again and be honest with myself about how easy it is to engage in conflict. Moments when I am sure my point is right, and forgetting that the situation and person is always more beautiful and complex, and for sure I am not taking in all of what this person I am engaging with, brings to me. Today again I vow to practice this. Whoever I meet to practice seeing and feeling more of this complex and beautiful universe that he or she is offering to me. Thanks to George Pór for pointing to this beautiful image
