Seasons greetings, Elitists. Id like to raise a few questions about Bachs incomplete masterpiece, THE ART OF FUGUE. (1) Should composers attempt to complete it, or is it better left as it is, cut off almost in mid-measure? (2) Any thoughts on the matrix and completion by Zoltán Göncz, performed on organ at: https://youtube/watch?v=1DPqVVfm9JU&list=RDJbM3VTIvOBk? In my opinion, this is perhaps the best such effort yet, although I am not altogether convinced. He reintroduces the original fugue quite smoothly in the dotted figuration first seen in the fifth contrapunctus (m. 4, in the bass voice). Some of his work is marvelous, though I think it sometimes goes off in rather 19th and (almost) 20th century directions instrumentally. (3) Someone using the name Riverstun wrote:
