Seattle Seahawks 2013 As with every year the NFC west is hard to - TopicsExpress

Seattle Seahawks 2013 As with every year the NFC west is hard to predict, alot of hype surrounding the 49ers of course. Could the Seahawks still be sleepers? A lot of experts have the Rams finishing ahead of the Hawks this season. I mean, Cmon, the Rams schedule does not have a single give me game on it. There is always the sophomore slump scenario for Russell Wilson, but I actually believe in this kid as much as I do Kappernick. Both are play makers hands down and the without the slightest doubt in my mind the NFC West will come down to 9ers and Hawks. I love the fact that Seattle has Lynch, who over the last two seasons has really redeemed himself as a stud back. Now add in Christine Michael the rookie out of Texas A&M into the mix, you have a pretty solid one/two in the backfield. Pete Carrol and Tom Cable have something pretty special going on in Seattle and I would not be surprise if the Hawks took the West. Defensively, they have a lock down secondary lead by Earl Thomas and In my opinion maybe one of the best secondaries in the NFC. Then you have linebackers being coached by Ken Norton Jr. Its a win for the coaching staff, I feel Seattle has all the pieces in place for a playoff bound year. Going into December look for for Seattle to be sitting at 9-3 and yes knocking off the 49ers week 2, when San Fran stumbles into the "Thunder" dome and will leave ears and heads ringing. As for as Russell Wilson putting up his 2012 numbers, go ahead and count that as a yes, now blowing those numbers out, probably not. Lynch if healthy, will rumble and put up big numbers as usual and expect him to pound the rock once in the red-zone. Wilson will have plenty of help to spread the ball around. Look for Baldwin to have the season we have expected him to have, Rice to reclaim glory and Golden Tate to put in extra reps. The only question circles around Tight End for the Hawks. With just 36 days until the regular season and August 8th preseason kicks off, there is plenty of opportunity for the Hawks to shore up the few soft spots they have. Preseason outlook I have the Hawks making the playoffs and sitting atop the NFC West at 11-5, with December being a bit of tough sledding. Coming off a week 12 bye, they host the Saints and then are on the road to visit San Fran (who will be looking for revenge) and then off to face the New York Giants. Either way the west will be won in December. I will update the rest of the west later.
