Seawall Paid Parking to Launch This Saturday Convenient PayByPhone System Allows for Quick, Secure Payments GALVESTON, TX (July 24, 2013) – The City of Galveston and the Galveston Police Department will host a media availability opportunity addressing the launch of the paid Seawall Boulevard Parking Program on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10 AM at Fort Crockett Seawall Park at 4550 Seawall Boulevard. Seawall paid parking will be implemented this Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10 AM as signage is unveiled and enforcement officers are deployed to assist residents and visitors. Visitors to the Seawall will be able to use a mobile app, the internet, or a mobile phone to pay for parking. The parking transactions are transmitted real-time to reflect payment status to parking ambassadors and patrol cars. Seawall Paid Parking: Fee: $1 / hour, not to exceed $8 / day or $25 / year annual pass Operation: 10:00AM – 6:00 PM, 7 days a week, daily Payment Options: paybyphone or call 1-866-234-7275 Paid parking areas will include the north and south sides of Seawall Boulevard from 6th to 69th Street and 81st to 103rd Street. The area between 69th and 81st Street will be free of charge. Annual passes are $25 per year and can be purchased online, via PayByPhone, or by calling 1-866-234-7275 . All parking payments are associated to a license plate and are non-transferable, eliminating the need to display a receipt on your vehicle’s dash, or to display a sticker or hangtag.
