Second Nyanya Bombing: Why President Jonathan must resign or Sack FCT Minister ………………………………………… By Our Correspondent Our nation under Goodluck Jonathan has so far met all the criteria of being a failed state. Precisely 16 days after the bomb explosion that rocked Nigerias capital city Abuja at Nyanya and another tragedy that saw the abduction of poor innocent secondary school girls at Chibok, Borno State, Abuja is under attack again on Thursday evining. As usual the attackers have successfully detonated their bomb explosives with heavy casualties. Although the army has cordoned off the scene of the blast ostensibly to under report the number and under declare the number of those that died and the injured, the success of todays attack in Nyanya has confirmed the failure of Jonathan’s government to tackle the excessess of the insurgents. It is also a direct indictment on the administration of Senator Bala Muhammad in the FCT that despite the billions he claimed to have spent on a fraud called CCTV cameras within Abuja and environs including Nyanya, the bombers were not detected during the first and todays bomb explosion in same area. Now it is very clear to us that even Abuja is not safe and the success of the two attacks in Nyanya has gone to confirm that the Boko Haram terrorists are indeed and in fact better motivated and better equipped than the Nigerian military. The only development and progress we saw in the appointment of Gen Miminah as the Chief of Army Staff and Gen Aliyu Gusau (Rtd) as the minister of Defense is the unprecedented and usual insecurity in Abuja and the growing influence of the Boko Haram sect to unleash terror on innocent souls in the north east. They are not justifying the billions they are wasting. President Jonathan must probe to us that the lives of our citizens is more precious than the greed and selfish conduct of his appointees by either resigning for glaring incompetence and failure or he sack with immediate effect the FCT minister whose corrupt conduct, negligence and non performance as the FCT minister woefully failed to stop the two bombings at Nyanya. Where is the benefit of the billions he spent on CCTV cameras? Why are they not working? Why did he failed to stop the bombings as the chief security officer of the FCT? Until Jonathan act by enforcing necessary sanctions on appointees that failed the people and siphoned resources meant for public conveniences and security, Nigerians will continue to pray for the president’s fall and the fall of every executive member in his cabinet. We demand that as minister, Bala Muhammad has fail and the president if he truly value human life must sack and investigate the FTC minister now. The latest blast will be a big blow to Jonathans planned Nigerian Economic Forum scheduled for the Nigerian capital city next week. Now it will be clear to all the participants and the countries that will attend the submit that our president has not only failed to secure the three troubled states of the North east but couldn’t secure the federal Capital from terrorists attack. Indeed by the second explosion at Nyanya today it is clear that Mr. Jonathan cannot guarantee the security of participants at the planned Abuja submit. Abuja has no administrator. It is time for Bala Muhammad to go to preserve innocent lives in the future. No excuses.
