Second man charged with the murder of Antoin Akpom Issued on 1/10/13 at 8:16 p.m. A 19-year-old man has tonight been charged with the murder of Antoin Akpom. He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday, October 2). He is the second man to have been charged with this murder. A 19-year-old, Abdul Hakim, has already appeared at court. Mr Akpom died following an incident in Kent Street, Leicester, on September 12. Six men and a youth have been charged with the murder of four people at Wood Hill in Leicester, on September 13. All have already appeared at court. They are: a 16-year-old youth who cannot be named for legal reasons, Kemo Anthony Porter, 18, Nathaniel Jarvis Mullings, 19, Jackson George Powell, 19, Aaron Moses Webb, 19, Akeem Tesfatyrone Jeffers, 21, and Shaun Carter, 24. We can confirm that we are working on the presumption that both cases are linked. There are currently no other suspects in police custody.
