Second preaching i heard was at Hillsong conference on Friday night Preached by Dr. Louie Giglio pastor of Passion City Church, Atlanta USA The shape of your future is not defined by the condition of your past Message: Resurrection power of Jesus is available to us too Ephesians 3:20-21 (KJV)20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. As Christians we sometimes forget we serve a God who is all powerful and gives abundantly. We end up asking for too little thinking “We don’t deserve it,” “Were asking for too much” but no the Word says GOD “is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask” so whatever it is your thinking of a brand new car God exceeds your imagination and can provide a new car and a new house, we only lack the courage to ask. We come to a point we are praising and adoring others, thinking oh I want to get a picture with Joel Osteen after the service, pushing and shoving to get a glimps of Bishop td Jakes rather than realising that what they have access to we to also have access to. That when we let ourselves access to the resurrection power of Jesus, Joel Osteen will be the one seeking to get a picture with you. For the word too also says James 5:17-20KJV) 17 Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Elijah was too just a man, a human being as we are by his faithfulness to prayer what he seeked was given and given abundantly We often find ourselves praying the same prayer each day “thank you Lord for this new day” ….. “bless the food that’s before us, and the hands that prepared it ” We need to pray with a passion for bigger and greater things. REVIVAL occurs when we are in a place of “holy mystery." In Luke 7, Jesus raises the widow’s son from the dead. "Young man, I say to you, ‘Get up!’" (v. 14) THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH AWE AND PRAISD GOD. How do you explain to someone a man was once dead but when asked to get up he rose from the dead, how do you explain five loaves and two fish feeding thousands and 12 baskets returning full after everyone ate more than enough. Simply Holy Mystery. We need to live our lives in a mystery if you can still explain what is happening in your life step by step it’s probably not a revival. We need to lead lives were by, when others ask you “How is this possible” the only answer you have is Holy Mystery Don’t end your life with a story to tell end it with a mystery that will stir the hearts of man.
