Secret Indulgence Teaser TAG Book 2: The waiter arrived with the bottle of Rose Champagne. She took the bottle just as her eyes caught Ryan’s face. He was looking pointedly at her. Liz walked up to the podium as the audience began to quiet down. “Thank you all for coming this evening…….” She always could quiet a room when she commanded attention. When you look at the Athena executives they were impressive. The women were highly sought after by the male population, but rarely ever granted dates. Alex stood next to the Athena as Liz continued her speech to the audience. She could feel Ryan’s eyes on her. She wouldn’t look at him, not until just the right moment. “….were honored that on our maiden voyage and debut race our very own Alexandra Collins will head up our race team.” As applause irrupted Alex looked at Ryan right at that moment and to her satisfaction she saw the smile falter on his face. She knew he was not pleased. “Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the Athena.” Alex raised the bottle, nodded at Ryan and smashed the champagne against the hull of the sailboat. Cheers irrupted among the audience and she immediately saw the storm coming. She slipped away before he could reach her. The ladies were to gather inside the media tent for photographs. She felt him follow behind her. Just as she was about to enter the tent, an arm snaked out around her waist pulling her back against a firm body. “I raise you Lexa. Don’t think I don’t know what youre doing and it’s not going to work. You want to play this in the media, be prepared.” He whispered in her ear.
