Secret Sandy Claus Project Recruitment Effort- 2014 Job Descriptions for Staff Positions for 2014 Holiday Toy Delivery Program- PLEASE SHARE! In order for the Secret Sandy Claus Project to expand and fulfill our mission this year, we are looking to streamline our operations and recruit unpaid volunteers to fill Staff positions and internships within our organization to join and assist our already amazing Head Elves, Elf Teams and Santas. To do so, we are looking for certain individuals who can commit to filling specific positions for us in the months of October, November and December. The 4 key components that we are looking for of any staff member are Reliability, Dedication, Trustworthiness and Availability. Ideal candidates for these positions may be those who don’t have many commitments such as a full-time job. Homemakers, students and unemployed individuals have made up most of our existing team and are ideal due to their availability to work on the project during business hours as well as evenings. Also, this is a great opportunity for any student or unemployed individuals looking to add community service credit or experience to your resumes. The best part is.... most of these positions can be done at home as long as you have a computer and a phone. We look forward to having you join the team! Website Maintenance/HTML Designer We are in desperate need of filling this position ASAP. The ideal individual for this position has Website Maintenance experience, possesses knowledge of HTML coding, knows how to Develop a Site and Add Content, can synch our website to Facebook and Twitter updates and postings and Flash experience if possible. It is of the utmost importance that this person be Available, Reliable and Accessible to initiate any content changes or additions to the website whenever updating is necessary. The busy season for this position will be from October to December; however, a longer commitment throughout the rest of the year would be preferred. Donation Manager This individual will be primarily responsible for coordinating and keeping track of all donations (monetary or in-kind), where they are coming from and how and when we can coordinate those deliveries or pick-ups from donorsand sponsors. This person will be able to keep track of all donations, whether monetary or in-kind, and maintain our donation database. Also, you may be asked to direct prospective donors on how to donate money on our website using our secure Paypal account button. Working in conjunction with the Transportation and Volunteer Coordinators will be of the utmost importance and will be crucial and necessary in order to fulfill our goals. Volunteer Coordinator This individual will be primarily responsible for coordinating and keeping track of all available Volunteer’s Schedules, Availability and will coordinate the logistics for all Volunteers and where they are in need. This person will be able to keep track of all volunteers and maintain our volunteer database. Working in conjunction with the Donation Manager and the Transportation Coordinator to put the available people with the available vehicles will be of the utmost importance and will be crucial and necessary in order to fulfill our goals. Transportation Coordinator This individual will be primarily responsible for coordinating and keeping track of Schedules, availability and logistics for all sources of transportation. These may include personal vehicles, vans, mini-vans, trucks or buses. This person will keep tabs on all available transportation options to transport toys or volunteers to make pick-ups, deliveries or car pooling. This person will be able to keep track of all available transportation options and maintain our transportation database. Working in conjunction with the Donation Manager and the Volunteer Coordinator to put the available people with the available vehicles will be of the utmost importance and will be crucial and necessary in order to fulfill our goals. Schools Coordinator This individual will act as a liaison with the schools and be primarily responsible for coordinating and keeping track of all schools participating in our Toy Drives, Penny Drives, Adopt-A-Kid Gift Program or Arts and Craft Program. This person will keep tabs on all school commitments to coordinate transporting toys or volunteers to make pick-ups or deliveries from participating schools. This person will be able to keep track of all schools participation and maintain our schools database with responses and commitments from partnering schools. Working in conjunction with the Donation Manager and the Volunteer Coordinator to put the available people with the available vehicles will be of the utmost importance and will be crucial and necessary in order to fulfill our goals. Elf (and Santa)Trainer The primary function of the Elf Trainer position is to explain to each new Elf (and Santa) recruit what their job functions will be and walk them through the operations process so they understand what role they will be contributing to the collective effort of our team. Once you have done this a few times, you will get the hang of it and become an expert at training new team members in our operation. Training manuals will be shared with new team members and yourself for ease of training goals. Videographer/Documentarian We are looking for an individual who is interested in being our official Videographer. This person should have a lot of availability from at least October to December (perhaps a student looking for experience in video production or community service credit). This person will tape footage of our operations, events and behind the scenes for use in production of future commercials, documentaries or promotional videos. Ideally, this individual will own their own video recording equipment including camera, lighting and audio equipment. If not, someone with a simple iPhone camera will have to do. Interns We are in need of a few dedicated and smart, tech-savvy individuals to assist us with our files and records maintenance. Duties will include updating and maintaining our databases (spreadsheets), Data Entry, conducting Research, Making Phone Calls, engaging in Social Media Maintenance, and sending Correspondence to donors, partners, team members and press. The ideal candidate may be a student or unemployed individual looking to hone their skills on their resume, receive community service credit or gain valuable work experience for future career paths.
