Secretary to the Niger State Government Stresses Need for People to be Security Conscious. The Secretary to the Niger State Government, Alhaji Saidu Ndako Idris has stressed the need for people to be more security conscious in order to overcome the present security challenges that bedevilled the country. Alhaji Saidu Ndako Idris stated this when the Turbaned Community Chiefs in Minna emirate paid him a courtesy visit in his office. The Secretary to the State Government explained that the present administration had abolished the settler/indigene syndrome which, instead of fostering unity among the people, caused more harm than good. He stressed that the present administration in the state believed that people should be allowed to live peacefully and work in any part of Nigeria regardless of which part of the country they come from. Alhaji Saidu Ndako Idris enjoined the turbaned Chiefs to continue to support the laudable programmes and policies of government which were geared towards the betterment of the people. In his remarks, the Chairman of the Turbaned Chiefs and the Eze Igbo of Minna, Chief Eze Pampas Ngozi Wahiwe stated that the various communities resident in the state were appreciative of the landmark achievements of the present administration led by Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu. Also in his address, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-community Relations, Mr. Ajayi reassured the SSG of their unalloyed support to the programmes of the present administration. The Proprietor of Kowa Schools and Sarkin Hausawan Kpakungu, Alhaji Danladi Maikaza attributed the achievements recorded by the present administration to the servant leadership and good governance of the state governor.
