Section 29(4)(a) and (b) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal - TopicsExpress

Section 29(4)(a) and (b) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria 2004 provides that: "Full age means the age of 18 yrs and above and (b) any woman who is married shall be deemed τ̅ be of full age..", This provision should be read I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ conjunction with the section 1 sub section (3) of the same constitution, provides that ̤̣̈̇f any oda law is inconsistent with the provision of this constitution, this constitution shall prevail, and that other law shall τ̅ the extent of the inconsistency be void. Once again it is my humble submission that the Child Marriage Act is a violation of the supreme Law of Our Land, and has already quoted above the marriage Act, is not only inconsistent with our supreme law,but also null and void ab initio, and note it is against the prinicple of Natural justice, equity and Good conscience.
