They make recommendations for enhancing system security. They research attempted breaches and rectify security weaknesses. They are also responsible for formulating and implanting security policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources. Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations. Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits. Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls. Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status. Maintains quality service by following organization standards. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. managing and updating malware prevention systemsSkills: System Administration, Network Security, Problem Solving, Information Security Policies, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, Process Improvement, On-Call, Network Troubleshooting, Firewall Administration, Network Protocols, Routers, Hubs, and SwitchesQualifications:Education Associates or Bachelors degree. Equivalent work experience with emphasis in Information Security.Experience At least 2 years of experience in Network SecurityDesired Qualifications: Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills Ability to work independently - to multi-task and set/adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet established SLAs - and to communicate proactively to seek guidance from management to resolve conflicting priorities and/or deadline commitments.
