Job Info: These guarding rounds are on foot, and in a Security vehicle. * Security officers must pass a background examination and a 10 panel drug screen. * Monitor and respond to Fire, Smoke Burglar Alarm Systems. * Monitor Security Cameras, and Proximity Card Entry Points. Report suspicious activity to management. * Lock and Unlock Fire and Security doors. * Front Gate and front door Security. Greet visitors and employees; provide referral information and direction utilizing good public relation techniques. * Utilize a hand held portable radio, and a base radio to communicate with Security and Plant personnel. * Certification in First Aid as a First Responder. The security officer shall be certified in CPR, be able to operate an AED device, and be trained on Blood Bourne Pathogens. * Execute proper search outs of employees and plant visitors. Confiscate company property or contraband product and notify supervision. * Computer skills focused out entry and retrieval of Truck Traffic data pertaining to import and domestic case good loads. A security officer must have the ability to utilize the Truck Tracker data entry program. * Tractor trailer and tanker inspections. The security officer checks all seals on tankers and verifies loads. * Inspection of fire extinguishers, fire doors, fuel oil tanks, fire pumps, valve house risers and gauges, compressors, and water rescue equipment.
