French supermarket chain Intermarché has devised an ingenious way to combat this wastefulness while turning what were sure is a nice profit. Theyve branded the unsightly crops as “Inglorious Fruits and Vegetables,” given them their own department, logo, and ad campaign, and they sell the beastly but tasty things for 30% less than theyre pretty counterparts. The campaign has been wildly successful. Check out the commercial -- which has been going viral lately -- below.
