See you at the pole is creeping up on us once again. This year it will be held Sept. 25 2013. My goal last year was just to have a few students at scott middles flag pole and to put the event out there in the community for the ones who were not aware of this event.. it was more of a success than I had imagined. At least 100 students, parents , priest, pastors,teachers and staff showed up to scott middles see you at the pole event. My goal this year is to help as many parents that want to be involved in this years See you at the pole event at their child’s school. I would love to see many schools in our area participate. Public schools, Home schools , catholic schools,, all schools can be involved. Its not just standing at the pole to pray, it is gathering our students , parents and staff to be involved in the event and the students have the involvement of putting it on. There is shirts that can be worn, give aways, music , its what you make out of it. Tammy and I went through a lot of the leg work last year and we have lots of info and ideas that we can share with you to get the ball rolling instead of going back and fourth with issues that we went through last year. As many of you know I am very ,very shy and I do not speak much but I did it, and I know you can do it. You don’t need anything to be involved in this but your love for god and the grace of sharing it with others and he will walk you through every step. It can be one, five ,ten, or 100 people that stand by your schools flag pole on that day, it doesn’t matter who shows up ,it is a blessing to have done it. Please take the time and think about participating this year, it needs to be discussed early in the year so things can be put into place and practiced. I would be glad to help anyone out and start it off for you. One person from your school can step up and after volunteers will pour your way.This is not for a certain religion and not everyone has to participate, its simply the chance for us to pray with our kids for the schools, the churches, priest, community, government, president, fire fighters, police officers, the sick and so much more.Everyone says they need prayer back into the school, here is your chance for national prayer day. They may not be allowed to pray as a group in schools anymore but no one said that we cannot teach our kids to pray for a couple of minutes after announcements in the morning to themselves, or on the way to school or all day during school,there is not certain time to pray. Its up to us as parents to keep prayer constantly going with our kids and show them its ok to pray at school as one or as a group that may pray to them selves also. Schools from all over participate in this event lets get our schools involved!!!! I promise you, it is one of the best feelings ever to watch our children gather with friends to pray at this pole for one day!!!!
