Seeking ID of Suspect Burglarizing Vending Machines - On September 26, a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputy responded to a complaint of a theft at the District 11 Fire Sub Station #3 on Highway 83 in Glencoe. A vending machine located outside of the station had been broken into by a subject seen in the surveillance video. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that a second vending machine located outside of the A.J. Landry Four Corners fire station on Big Four Corners Road had also been burglarized; about $95 dollars in coins had been taken. As a result of both burglaries, authorities recorded a total of $500 dollars in damage. The video shows a subject breaking into the machine at about 2:30 AM on Friday. According to Fire Chief Clarence Clark, proceeds from the vending machines benefit volunteer firefighters in District 11. Anyone with information on the case may contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-828-1960 or by email at crimewatch@stmaryso.
