Seeking Parents to Serve on Interagency Coordinating Council - TopicsExpress

Seeking Parents to Serve on Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC): Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Birth to 3 Program is actively seeking parents of children who are currently participating or have recently participated in one of the 72 Wisconsin county Birth to 3 Programs. As members of the Wisconsin ICC, parents play an important and necessary role in advising and assisting the council with the implementation of Wisconsin’s early intervention system. The Wisconsin’s Birth to 3Program is governed by Part C of IDEA regulations. The regulations require us to maintain a robust and well informed Wisconsin Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC). The DHS Birth to 3 Program needs a strong parent component as part of Wisconsin’s ICC. Parents and other members are asked to: • Be present and actively participate in each of the quarterly ICC meeting occurring throughout the state. • Attend this year’s Circles of Life conference April 24th and 25th, 2014 (coincides with an ICC meeting). • Participate in leadership and advocacy training sponsored by Wisconsin’s FACETS. • Serve on various subcommittees to support the work of the ICC. Expenses including travel, conferences and training fees, meals and lodging are reimbursed for ICC members. For additional information please contact Dana Romary via email at [email protected] or by phone at 608-266-5442. You may also visit the Wisconsin ICC web site located at b3icc.state.wi.us/index.htm
