Seen a lot of polarizing comments about Governor Christie in the past week and most have missed the bigger point. Heres the easy catch; The Tea Partiers are a minority and the most vocal and now one of the most influential factions within a GOP that desperately needs fixing. Because our President doesnt lead from the front and is an obscenely freespending liberal to a level we havent seen in ages and because of the prejudices involved against him, The Tea Party seems to keep its voice even though THEY are the bullies of the Republican Party. Independent voters like myself see Christie as someone who can go to DC in 2017 and silence the Tea Party once and for all and unite the country and start a movement like The Reagan Democrats did in the 80s. In 2016 itll be all about the economy and the momentum that gay marriage is gaining and other socially liberal changes that have come during the Obama administration will be too great for him to even dare take on by then. Somehow I dont trust him, maybe it is his demeanor or just those crazy facial expressions Mary Pat always has when shes with him in public that never seem to fit the mood at hand. Im waiting for her to blink S-O-S into a TV camera one of these days.
