Segment 2: The years between 2011 and 2015 coincide with the 50th anniversaries of many key civil rights era events. From the Freedom Riders, to the murders of Medgar Evers and Emmett Till and many other events, people will be watching Mississippi from around the world to see how we remember our past. This week the Episcopal Church is sponsoring a series of events called 50 Years Later: the State of Racism in America. Two of the Mississippians participating are Bishop Duncan Gray III, Episcopal Bishop of Mississippi, and former Governor William Winter. They joined us to talk about the State of Racism in Mississippi.
