Selective reporting. Selective Pics. True the issue should have - TopicsExpress

Selective reporting. Selective Pics. True the issue should have been "le lieu" instead of the "identity" of the Pandit, but it is equally true that the press, at least a section of it, was silent when plots of land were given to a section of the population. Perhaps the press did report on TAB Hotels etc, but there were no bashing at the time. As opposed to the bashing the Pandit is facing today! A recent example could be the treatment that section of the press gave to Thierry Lagesse. If that section of the press treated each and every allegation the way it did for Lagesse, then I would have called that press "independent". Do you remember the treatment that press gave to the owner of Ti-Vegas when he was madly driving his car on the beach? Yes they reported. But imagine if that was you, you would have been bashed. We can go into other examples - from golf courses to hotel permits. Be it as it may, had the owners of the hotels been the Pandit, we would already have had a collection of pictures where the Pandit is hugging the PM in religious functions. And strangely (not so much), actual hotel owners never ever met previous Prime Ministers. Or perhaps, that section of the press thought it was not important to take pictures!
