Self Confidence for me is a rare commodity..which if vagrantly inflated can be in danger of being contaminated with the trappings of vanity. It is the very soul to which we yearn or crave for, to validate an existence among peers, ends there. Watching nippets of The VOICE tonight, saw the hopes of certain auditionees, suppressed - to render the very emotionally prone, reduced to tears. In life I have learnt that Self Confidence is frail and can only be achieved in the very inner sanctums of Self Belief, self assertion and the powers that embody integrity and self conviction. Without these components to such reinforcement, we will bend to the alternative of Self Doubt. ...and it cannot be a good thing. Life is great when you perceive failure and disappointment from the angles of optimism. Losing a contest, game or opportunity is not about failure but rather a journey in self discovery. I applaud those contestants who took along family and friends; awaited their fate/verdict to jubilate or wail over were their to support their dearest beloved. Be it bonding, cooking, singing or praying - these activities remind me that regardless of who we are, share and esteem these basic of NEEDS of commonality.... -----The need to be acknowledged, adored, appreciated, praised, wanted, desired, loved or validated has never been so urgent today at a time when we need it the most, must be set free! How do we permeate the impermeable? MUSIC!
