Senate Deputy Chief Whip Gets Second Term Endorsement 29 Aug 2014 Font Size: a / A Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola Ademola Babalola For attracting what they described as Impressive long list of infrastructural development to the so-called marginalised Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State, leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and supporters of the Senate Whip, Hosea Ayoola Agboola for second term ahead of October primaries. The endorsment came from 10 local government areas out of the 13 local government areas that make up Oyo North senatorial district. At the PDP zonal meeting held at Saki Parapo Hall in Saki West Local Government Area, presided by Alhaji Yakubu Oladoja, which also had in attendance one of Agboolas predecessors, Senator Robert Koleoso, Oke-Ogun PDP leader, Alhaji Tijani Mossa and Chief Sunday Alabi, the elders drummed support for Agboola for the next election. Others at the meeting were the minority leader of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Rafiu Adekunle, Hon. Niyi Farinto representing Iwajowa; Ojo Ayobami who represents Atisbo and party stalwarts like Alhaji Azeez Adelani and Alhaji waheed Olaniyan. They hinged their decisions to support Agboola for another term on his unprecedented infrastructural development in the area which include a recently inaugurated N500million UCH annex in Sepeteri, last weeks N200 million empowerment tools for over 5,000 people, building of 10 schools, eight health centres and four Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centres across the 13 local government areas in Oyo North and the ultra-modern Museum he donated in Otu, Itesiwaju Local Government Area. Tijani-Mossa who is the PDP leader in the area said Oke-Ogun never had it so good until Agboola came on board, whom he described as a performer and God-sent; a true son of Oke-Ogun. While raising up Agboolas hand as a sign of endorsement for second term, Tijani-Mossa prayed God to grant the senator more fruitful years of service to Oke-Ogun, the state and Nigeria as a whole. In his remarks, Agboola who was full of thanks to the people of Oyo North for the opportunity given to him to serve them, stressed that: The projects he facilitated so far in the last three years and the on-going ones, are a tip of the iceberg. According to him, only PDP can restore the glory of the state from “the current servitude foisted on the people by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government. thisdaylive/articles/senate-deputy-chief-whip-gets-second-term-endorsement/187641/
