Sending all of my love to Boston. The loss of Tom Menino is too soon. Bostons longest serving mayor was many things to many people and I will always cherish how he helped acknowledge students voices. In the early 2000s when the city tried to pass resolutions and policing measures critical of the student population, he helped facilitate meetings between students and the city, he helped coach student leaders in their work to be taken seriously, supported student voting rights, participated in a student focused Mayoral debate and was a model of leadership. His help was also critical in establishing the Boston University Day Of Service. Thank you for all that you did Mr. Mayor.
