Senegal has been selected to host the 2015 African U-20 Championship, the ministry of sports announced on Wednesday in Dakar. The facilities are Demba Diop and Leopold Sedar Senghor both in the country’s capital Dakar and Caroline Faye stadium in Mbour. However, the above centres need important renovation to be able to host the continental event, according Souleymane Boune, who heads competitions department at the FA. Uganda will not participate in this tournament after the federation preferring the U- 17 team ahead of the U-20. The last time Uganda played in this tournament were eliminated by Ghana. The 2015 African U-20 Championship will be the 20th edition of the tournament reserved for players of 20 years and below. The semi-finalists will qualify for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The previous edition was held in Algeria in 2013 and won by Egypt
