Senior Brand Manager - Toys LeapFrog - San Francisco Bay Area (Bahía de San Francisco y alrededores, Estados Unidos) Descripción del empleo Position Overview The Senior Brand Manager – Toys will lead new product development projects for a range of products within the Learning Toy business unit, manage an existing portfolio, and be responsible for defining developing and executing marketing strategies for this business. The position requires strong knowledge of product development, marketing principles and practices, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complete life cycles. The Sr. Brand manager will be able to develop creative and successful marketing plans while balancing strong analytical skill s with creative product ideation. The Sr. Brand Manager demonstrates data-based decision-making strong analytical skills, creative product ideation and the ability to communicate ideas and insights to cross-functional partners and management. A strong affinity for toys and/or the ongoing education and development of children, for any reason, is strongly preferred. The Senior Brand Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing - Toys. Duties & Responsibilities Develop short, medium and long-term strategic planning and manage US P&L for assigned category/product line and provide life cycle plan recommendations (Product updates and end of life timing),. Develop creative and impactful product and category marketing plans for existing and new products to improve portfolio revenue and meet profitability targets. Strategically identify new, global product and incremental category opportunities based on quantitative and qualitative analysis of the industry, category, and consumer behavior. Collaborate with cross-functional partners including but not limited to Content, Industrial Design, Engineering, LeapFrog’s Learning Team, International Marketing, Packaging and Operations to achieve cost targets and ensure on-time market entry. Partner with LeapFrog’s Consumer Insights team to commission appropriate market research to support new product development and strategic marketing plans. Lead new global product development efforts including defining product/category vision, product objectives, consumer experience, and merchandising expectations. Partner with US and International sales teams to ensure all initiatives are maximized globally to their full potential. Conduct timely analysis of sales performance and execute effective reaction tactics in partnership with sales and marketing communication teams. Prepare presentations on a regular basis which are capable of selling and supporting your ideas through all levels of the business. Effectively interface with upper-management, executives, other departments, customers, vendors and outside contacts as an inspirational expert for the brand. Be a product champion creating internal and external enthusiasm for the product line and serve as a mentor and resource to other team members. Management of 1-2 employees Experiencia y aptitudes deseadas Experience developing products and leading cross-functional teams from product ideation to on-shelf launch preferred. Must have demonstrated the ability to multi-task in previous work environments and be able to set priorities, stay focused, and set clear milestones. Demonstrated knowledge and application of marketing principles and practices, budgeting, advertising and packaging. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to product quality and safety. Must be a self-starter with energy, drive and determination to accomplish goals. Must demonstrate leadership ability and influence in motivating, guiding cross-functional teams, and holding teams accountable. Superior verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills. Must have experience managing and developing direct reports. Experience within the Toy industry is preferred or experience with products targeted at parents and their children or technology-based consumer products. MBA with similar emphasis or equivalent relevant experience in Marketing or Product Development preferred. 5 + years experience in a consumer-driven company – Toy company or other children’s products preferred.
