Senior Legal Secretary White Collar Crime - Litigation Department Experience and Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 yrs Secretarial experience in Litigation • Entirely proficient in Microsoft Office • Typing speed between 40 – 60 wpm Job Accountabilities: • Diary management in various formats, co-ordination of appointments, and client contact • Effective telephonic screening and message taking • Typing – Magistrate and High court documentation as well as general departmental documentation including settlement agreements and general litigation forms and precedents • Maintaining an efficient and effective departmental filing system (including electronic filing systems) • Account management including amendments, itemised billing, draft accounts, adjustments and final accounts • General administration – filing, e-mails, faxes • Travel arrangements (national & international) • Setting up PowerPoint presentations • Ad hoc administration Personal Attributes: • Initiative Self-starting, taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required, and being proactive from a departmental perspective. • Planning and organising Establishes priorities, manages schedules and be able to plan time and resources within a pressurized environment. • Work Standards Sets high goals or standards of performance for self, producing work timeously, accurately and of a consistently high standard. • Perseverance Be able to work well under pressure without compromising work quality or standards. The ability to move past obstacles to achieve end results in an efficient and professional manner. • Willingness to learn Eager to learn and understand. Skills: • Written Communication Able to express ideas clearly, produce documents that have appropriate organisation and structure, correct grammar and language.
