Working in Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, Karachi and rural southern Sindh, AKHS, P operates 128 primary health care facilities, mainly family health centres and maternal and child health centres, together with eight small secondary units in the north of Pakistan. AKHS, P employs over 1000 medical and professional support staff countrywide. AKHS, P is collaborating as an implementing partner with international donors and the Government of Pakistan through public private partnerships (PPP) to improve the health of communities. At a time of great change and with many exciting initiatives and ambitions for the future, AKHS, P provides a uniquely challenging work environment. The Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) invites applications for the following positions: SENIOR MANAGER, RESEARCH & DONOR FUNDED PROGRAMMES (Corporate Office) The incumbent will be responsible for developing proposals and related documents for mobilising funds from potential donors in consultation with regional management and overall monitoring of project activities, along with handling internal communications, providing information and preparing and submitting final reports for donor funded projects. S/he will also be responsible for coordinating various research activities, developing required research protocols and improving quality of implementation of project interventions by ensuring that project components are being implemented within approved frameworks and in compliance with donors regulations. S/he will be required to develop linkages with internal and external stakeholders for the provision of technical support on effective communication and proper reporting. S/he will also be required to develop or assist in the development of project related tools, surveys, participatory needs assessments or any other documentation that may be deemed necessary. Candidate must be MBBS preferably with MPH or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma - Health Care System Management) with at least 5 years experience of project / programme management in public / private health sector along with excellent knowledge of primary and secondary health care. S/he should possess excellent administrative, financial management, analytical, communication, interpersonal and writing skills. S/he should also have research publications along with reasonably good MS office applications (word, excel, power point). MANAGER COMMUNITY / CLINICAL PROGRAMMES - MEDICAL (Corporate Office) The incumbent will be required to take forward the community / clinical programmes of AKHS, P and will provide technical support in programme planning, development, monitoring and supportive supervision to regions to strengthen the community / clinical programmes and medical services across AKHS, P. Candidate should be Masters in Public Health or equivalent with at least 3 years management experience of primary health care in a not-for-profit clinical / community settings. S/he should have practical understanding of various community health programmes, clinical settings and researches. S/he should be highly competent professional; a team player with an excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written in English and Urdu) ami ;nlmini>lration skills with an ability to work in a complex and demanding environment and should be willing to travel to the field on regular basis. S/he should possess good knowledge of MS office applications skills (word, excel, power point). MANAGER COMMUNITY / CLINICAL NURSING PROGRAMME (Corporate Office) The incumbent will be responsible to take forward the community / clinical nursing agenda of AKHS, P and will provide technical support in programme development, monitoring and supportive supervision to regions to strengthen the community / thematic programmes and nursing services across AKHS, P. Candidate should be MScN or equivalent with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in relevant field. Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills along with reasonably good MS office applications skills (word, excel, power point). GENERAL SURGEON The incumbent will be responsible to provide curative surgical care and will be responsible to carry out general surgeries and to provide post-operative care to the patient. Candidate should possess excellent communication and management skills. The candidate should be FCPS / FRCS / Masters of Surgery (MS) / Diplomate American Board in Surgery or equivalent, registered with PMDC. Candidates having quality experience would be preferred. GYNAECOLOGIST The incumbent will be required to conduct clinics on regular basis along with attending patients in antenatal and postnatal periods. S/he wall also be required to perform emergency C-section and elective surgeries and to involve in teaching and training programmes for medical officer and nursing staff along with supervising Obstetrics and Gynaecology functions of the unit. Candidate .should possess excellent communication and management skills. The candidate should be FCPS / DGO / MRCOG / MCPS or equivalent, registered with PMDC. Candidates having quality experience would be preferred. DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (Corporate Office) The incumbent will be responsible to create and maintain all databases required for development, testing, education and production usage. S/he will also be responsible to plan and implement backup and recovery of the databases and to provide technical support to application development team and enforces security for all of the Oracle databases. The incumbent must be BS in Computer Science from reputable institution with minimum 2 years of experience of database administrator.
