Coach, train and mentor direct reports, provide opportunities for employee development. Establish employee goals, provide constructive and timely feedback, and conduct employee performance reviews in accordance with company guidelines. Delegate assignments to subordinate staff. Staff may be in multiple locations (domestic and/or international). Responsible for coordinating efforts and meeting goals, staffing and schedule requirements across locations. *Apply mastery level project management knowledge and alternative resourcing plans to manage complex business and technical projects and programs. This may include strategic or transformational initiatives. Develop and maintain project, requirement and software development methodologies, templates and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department. *Drive change management beyond the immediate team; take personal ownership of the IT strategy and drive support for it. *Ensure timely delivery of IT projects in accordance with approved project schedules. Ensure accurate representation and translation of business needs in order for software development teams to successfully build the appropriate software. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business users, management and IT personnel. *Negotiate scheduling of onshore and offshore shared resources and modify program and project plans to meet changing business needs. Create and manage the budget for the group. Establish communication and risk plans for the department.
