Responsibilities Reporting to the Publishing Director, the successful candidate will be required to: Contribute to the development of the overall strategic publishing plan of the company Network with key internal and external stakeholders Manage the development of learning programmes according to budgets, deadlines and the set framework Manage author teams, illustrators, designers, editors and proofreaders Negotiate and manage contracts Stay up to date with current market trends and development in education Assist with marketing and sales strategies Keep up to date with regard to digital learning and teaching Look after back list products Oversee the book development process and quality of content through the full editorial process until publication Requirements Applicants must have: An honours degree in Publishing A relevant degree majoring in English and Linguistics At least 5 years experience in a publishing related field Very good interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with others Time management skills & be able to cope well under pressure Good analytical and problem-solving skills Sound administrative skills Applicants must be prepared to travel A valid code B driver’s licence and have their own reliable vehicle The Company offers: A competitive salary and a stimulating working environment.
