Sent from my iPad. EAST KILBRIDE S2 53 STRATHAVEN 26 East Kilbride fresh from a momentous victory over Livingston continued their run of good form in a physical encounter at the Torrance Arena. After a immaculately observed one minutes silence the S2 s knuckled down and got to work. Early pressure in the eighth minute on the right allowed Scrum half to take the ball of the back of the ruck go on the blind side and cross the white wash. Back came Strathaven enhanced with four boys from Dalziel to level almost immediately. East Kilbride responded with a electrifying run from Euan Ross to make it 10..5 converted by Fraser Jackson 12..5 at the First break.. East Kilbride then got into gear in the second third With a Lewis Brown taking a scissor of Fraser and crashing over from 25 yards out. Next try Was for Forward Ryan Mason back scoring again thats what we like to see. ( well done Ryan) Stand in Flanker Was Scrumhalf Matthew Brown who took a opportunist try as the ball was over the line . The ball popped out and down ward pressure by Matthew was enough for the score. No tries for Strathaven in this period finishing 29...12. The third period as bodies and limbs tired was a try fest with East Kilbride conceding two extremely soft tries from the Strathaven number 8 running through our defence twice from distance.. This flattered Strathaven and in the final fifteen minutes EK got into top gear with another brace from centre Euan Ross, one chasing the rubber kicks and diving over the line. Fraser Jackson not wishing to. Be out done by these tactics kicked and chased from thirty yards out and went over in the corner. EK were totally dominant in the last ten with Matthew Fletcher taking the ball on our penalty. Ten yards out with Euan Ferrie pushing fletch over the line. A very good performance boys a good team ethic when we responded to their tries. On the Ferrie Performance scale we scored 7 out of ten again. The coaches were really pleased and back to training tomorrow night. Ready for Cartha Queens Park next week.A. Late fixture which should tune us up for Marr!! Man of the match has to be Euan Ross , took his tries well and tackled well.. Well dome
