Sent this email to all board members... Hi... As you are probably aware, I have been recording school board meetings and posting them on YouTube. My goal is to get more people comfortable with the process and procedure of the meetings so they will be less intimidated and come participate. However, the two complaints I receive about the recordings both have to do with sound. 1. More than one board member speaking at a time or two board members whispering while someone else is talking. Open Meeting laws exist so that the public can hear everything the board discusses. Respectfully, I request the members refrain from cross-talk and whispering amongst themselves during the meeting. 2. There are no microphones and several members speak so softly it is hard to hear at all (in person or on video). Perhaps you can give me permission to set up my camera off to one side in the front row? I am open to any other ideas you may have to resolve the sound issue. Thanks for your time, Carrollynn Henshaw
