Sentiments of Kashmiri people being represented by Geelani: Er Rasheed____ Independent MLA, Er Abdul Rasheed who recently launched his new political party “Awami Ettihaad Party” (Peoples’ Unity) today said that the Chairman of Hurriyat conference (G) Syed ali shah Geelani was the only leader of Kashmir when it came to sentiments of people. “He is the ‘Quaid e Inqilab’ (Leader of Revolution), maybe I have many differences with him but the one person who is representing the sentiments in real sense is him. I havea reason and logic to differ with his methodology but when it comes to sentiments, I think like us he also represents them” Rasheed said. Er rasheed while addressing party workers in Gandarbal threatened to protest on the visit of Prime Minister of India - Dr. Manmohan Singh. He said “if he (Manmohan Singh) wouldn’t bring mortal remains of Mohammad Afzal guru with him, I will stage a peaceful protest by welcoming him with black flags and will also move to his epitaph of Afzal guru at Eidgah Srinagar”. Blaming National conference of keeping District Gandarbal under darkness AIP led by lawmaker Abdul Rashid said “I came here to see what people from this district are say about the governance. I have got a good response from people by which its clear now that people want change are with it” adding that “it’s the constituency of CM Omar Abdullahand despite fear they still came to meet me. They know I would represent wish and will of Kashmiri people in assembly”.
