Seph said his teachers were asking why he could run and play games when he wanted too, but couldnt walk laps around the playground when they wanted him too. Valid question...one I am sorry is only being asked at the end of the year, but its not one that hasnt been asked before by others. So, here is the answer. Bottom line...Seph has a limited number of steps in his life. Each and every step should serve a purpose..running around being a little boy while he can is called quality of life. Walking laps or to the other end of a building to get to a car for example have nothing to do with quality of life. Can he do it now, yes. Should he be made to when there is no real purpose or need? No, not if it can be avoided. I know it seems contradictory, but it is about Quality of Life. I want him to, and believe he deserves to be able to use his limited steps for things that are FUN for a boy...not using his muscles for mudane tasks. I hope this helps explain and I hope that if you have heard or hear anyone ask this in the future, you will help explain.
