Sept. 8: exactly 7 days until my b day. where did time go?! For the next 7 days, I will use my grateful posts to honor 7 people who have been instrumental in shaping me into the woman that I am today. Aiysha Montgomery, woo woo! Youre a jewel and anyone who has known you or has you as a part of their life knows this and should thank God. Youre a heaven sent sister and I swear my mother is yours and yours is mine lol! Youre the smoothest person that has been a good example of how to love and correct with such finesse. I havent mastered that finesse part yet but you have always been the big sister that I have looked up to and who I call that can beat me, make me laugh, and validate my feelings all in the span of 10 minutes. You challenge me to be better. You helped me to start the journey of accepting my beauty and shortcomings. You coined the term beautiful weirdo for me and always let me now that it was okay to be me and for that I will forever be grateful. Not to mention how much you have shared your family with me and how they have embraced as their own. I went from a person who hated the holidays and became severely depressed to a person who loves the holidays and would rather attend the celebrations sick then to miss out on family time. Who would have thought that our initial meeting at a job (on my first day when the toilet overflowed...my bad) would be an encounter that would lead to so many life changing moments. Im thankful to have crossed paths, that you are my sister, and I will kill a ninja dead for you and the fam. I love you and am grateful and dont take your existence for granted...only a fool would do that. #365daysofgratefulness
