Never in that moment did I realize just how true that statement would be and just how close to home this would hit. That day unfolded a new path for many families. Ours came in 2010. I cannot say thank you enough to all our nations heros, police, firefighters, EMTs. So many more deserve thanks. The losses so many have suffered is still rising. My children will forever know the true sacrifices that began on this day thirteen years ago. We will never forget.
