September 16, 2013 Position: Framing Hope Warehouse – Warehouse Coordinator Positions Available: 1 Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm [schedule is negotiable] Service Commitment: 1 Year Status: Part Time [approximately 24 hours per week] Reports to: Operations Manager Framing Hope Warehouse is an initiative of The Service Collaborative of WNY. The Service Collaborative of Western New York creates opportunities for all individuals to serve their communities, challenging them to turn their ideals into action and their passion into positive change. Framing Hope Warehouse partners with local corporate retailers and non-profit agencies to acquire, audit, and redistribute donated goods that support the care of the ill, needy, or youth. The Framing Hope Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the redistribution of donated goods to local nonprofits. The Warehouse Coordinator also provides customer service support, general warehouse duties, and performs data entry tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with pick-up of donated materials from area partner stores; • Load/unload and organize donated materials; • Accurately audit donated materials for size, quantity, and quality; • Lead volunteer groups on community service projects in the warehouse; • Provide professional and courteous customer service to warehouse visitors; • Maintain a broom-clean work environment; • Follow guidelines set in Standard Operating Procedures; • Perform other related duties as directed by the Operations Manager. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • High school diploma or GED; • Valid NYS Drivers License; • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Job-Readiness / Learning Opportunities: • Network with over 100 area nonprofit partners; • Gain familiarity with residential building materials and rehabilitation projects; • Sharpen customer service skills; • Learn basic warehouse logistics & safety standards; • Maintain bookkeeping and inventory management using QuickBooks for Nonprofits. Compensation: $8.50-$9.50 per hour, based on experience. Additionally, if qualified, hired individual will be eligible to receive an AmeriCorps education award.
