The staffing board reserves the right to limit the number of applicants to be given consideration per work location identified on this notice of job opportunity. This number will vary depending on the number of job openings and language requirements associated with each specific location. For example, from among all applicants who meet the requirements as stated in the Who Can Apply and Education sections of the notice and express interest in working in a particular city, 100 randomly selected applicants may be identified for further assessment. The random selection approach ensures a fair and equitable way of identifying potential candidates. If you are considered further, you will be notified in writing of the date, time and location of your testing session. For those applicants who currently work or have previously worked for CRA or the federal public service, you must enter your Personal Record Identifier (PRI) in the space provided on the Job Opportunity form. Pools and Appointment A pool of eligible candidates will be established for this staffing process. Notwithstanding the results of this staffing process, managers will consider individuals with CRA preferred status prior to any appointments. Standards of Conduct CRA employees are dedicated to serving in the public interest and have worked hard to earn the trust of Canadians. The Code of Ethics and Conduct and the Directive on Conflict of Interest and Post-employment are important documents that outline the expected standards of conduct for CRA employees. It is strongly recommended that you take the time to review these documents before you consider an employment opportunity with the CRA. Communication Methods All communication methods, including email, are subject to the risk of unauthorized access. However, the security risk associated with using email is minor. It is also an efficient way to communicate (low cost and high speed). For staffing processes, we may find that email is the most efficient way to communicate with you. You should include an email address that accepts email from unknown users (some email systems block these types of email). If special circumstances (such as vacation or sickness) prevent you from having access to your email system OR if you do not have access to an email system, it is your responsibility to inform us. Furthermore, if you DO NOT wish to receive results by email, it is your responsibility to inform us. In this case, there will be a delay from the time we issue the letters until you receive them. Candidates must notify the staffing board of any change of address or contact information that may occur throughout the duration of this staffing process. (email to [email protected]) Employment Equity CRA is committed to reflect Canada’s population. This is accomplished by having a fair representation of Employment Equity Groups among its work force. The following groups have been identified as designated group: aboriginal people, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, and women. For more information, refer to the following site: Employment Equity. Security Clearance The Personnel Screening Program was implemented to protect information that is departmentally sensitive or sensitive to the national interest by ensuring that all persons engaged by CRA meet standards of reliability, trustworthiness and loyalty required by the nature of their duties or tasks. An integral part of the Personnel Screening Program requires that all candidates being appointed from outside the Agency be subject to a reliability check. This includes the verification of reliability, employment history, and police records and could include fingerprinting. You will be required to complete Personnel Screening forms so that a reliability check can be conducted. NOTE: If your country of birth is outside of Canada, you MUST provide your Immigration Papers, or Permanent Residence Card AND either a Record of Landing documentation or Canadian Citizenship Card. In addition to the above, you will be required to provide complete addresses for the places you resided in the last five years, including the year(s) and month(s) for each residence. If you resided outside of Canada in the last five years, you may experience a delay in obtaining a Reliability Status. Accommodations Accommodations during assessment are available. Please note that detailed information about your functional limitations will most likely be required, and will be addressed confidentially.
