September 24 – [B] At this point in time, the House passed a spending resolution to fund the government with everything but Obama care. This does contain the raising of the debt ceiling. As per the design of our founding parents, the ball is in the Senate’s Court where they can amend this bill. Instead of publically railing against the bill sent up for them by the House, Harry Reid needs to go onto the Senate floor and change whatever he feels should be changed in it to make it more to his liking. Once that bill passes the Senate, it will return to the House for confirmation on the Senate changes. The House and the Senate will meet to hammer out a compromise bill acceptable to each side of the legislative branch of the government. The compromised bill would then go to the President to either sign or veto the bill. He will get the last word on the issue and will be held accountable by the American Public for his actions. This is the way that the American constitution was set up to deal with the issues.
