September 29th, 2014..by Mom..this past weekend was wonderful. We spent time with a lot of great people. First, I want to thank Officer Rigatti for organizing the Softball Tournament for Joey..we can say enough about him and how wonderful he is to Joey and our family. Thanks to all of our friends who came out to support the event and the teams who played. Thanks to our friends and strangers who worked the event or helped bake for the bakesale or whatever help they provided. Thanks to the police forces who came and played and supported Joey. Allstate as well. Thanks to the Millers for offering there home after the event so we could enjoy the company of some friends and relax. This weekend was also Homecoming. Thanks to Andreana and the entire cheerleading association for arranging for Joey to be in the parade..for the awesome Bentley he and I got to ride in. For Mike Petrossi for inviting us to be in the parade as well. To Olivia for being patient and basically taking a backseat to Joey this weekend. We did pull it off and she got to enjoy the prep for the dance with her good friend Paige..glad I got to be there for most of it. Thanks to Maryjane Swindell and Paige for taking care of those arrangements ..for the company that day! Today we are at CHP. His appointment with his neuro onc doctor went well. We are now waiting for his vaccine to be made..always a waiting game. We hope he does well and he doesnt have any effects from it..we will know in a few days if our last set back was the steroids or the vaccine. We are staying on his current does of steroids for another week to be sure. We will see..its very stressful and heartbreaking. We did go visit a few Halloween stores yesterday ..he enjoyed that! Also got a cool gift bag at CHP today..full of all kinds of stuff from a blanket to paints to activity books..to a Puma bag..megablocks..socks..all kinds of stuff. Slogan on bag says Made of Steel..that says it all. Please pray for a good outcome today..for the next week..I dont want him to go thru that again..hes been thru enough ..hes our hero!
