Drift away with this deeply relaxing treatment to a state of complete and utter relaxation and bliss While Sole Sensations has its roots in ancient Ayurvedic practices, this treatment fuses the best of eastern medicines, customs and rituals to stimulate all 5 senses. Embracing the tea ceremony traditions of Japan, the treatment begins with a spicy and warming Ayurvedic tea. The next stage of the treatment is a cleansing foot ritual, a customary practice in many Eastern treatments. Relax and unwind as the feet are soaked in a skin softening Mandi Susu milk and honey foot bath scattered with exotic petals. The legs and feet are then scrubbed with a sweet, spicy Javanese lu’lur paste. These Javanese cleansing practices have been used for hundreds of years by Indonesian princesses in preparation for their wedding day. You then move to the couch for an Ayurvedic foot massage. Ayurveda is one the oldest forms of medicine around today. The massage aims to balance the doshas, the mind-body type of the individual. This is done by massaging specific marma points, similar to reflex points on the feet and lower legs with heated Thai herbal compresses. Warmed dosha balancing blends of exotic oils and spices add to this sensory experience. The treatment ends with the application of a sublime, silky, spicy ginger and sandalwood moisturiser to nourish the skin and soften the feet.
