September is National Preparedness Month. In Montana, many us us are fairly well stocked up with food but do you have enough water to last you and your family and pets for at least 72 hours? Are your important papers easily accessible to grab and run with? Does your vehicle have a survival kits? Our Warning Coordination Meteorologist took some photos of the survival kit she keeps in her car year round. It includes packages of water, a whistle, and many other useful tools the yellow survival kit, a multi-tool, a first aide kit, a flash light (that doesnt have to have a battery to run), ice scrapers (we may need those this week!) an umbrella (for sun and rain!) and a roll of toilet paper. When traveling long distances, she also brings a cell phone signal booster. It all fits nicely in a tote in the back of her car. What do you keep in your survival kit?
