September the month of Illusions The beginning marks the end of summer But summer’s end has not arrived The air turns cool, you think fall is coming But then Indian summer is upon us It leaves us believing one thing Then the opposite comes along I am feeling like September I am positive and moving forward Then something blocks my path Forcing me to a backward motion Now I must tread the inbetween The illusions blind my progress Will I see the truth Will my path be clear and bright Or when I least expect it Will fog roll in blocking the light I cannot trust what I see For Septembers illusions are upon me.
