***Serious Topic*** Hi Everyone... I want to share something that happened this morning. Some of you already know because you are my neighbors. I would have mentioned this when it happened but I had to catch the boat and didnt have internet access. I have pets, and every morning the dog goes out and the cats come in. After Lilly does her business she comes in to eat along with the cats. So, I turn on the porch light and opened the door. This time I walked to the edge of the porch to check what the weather was like and to just take in the morning air. I heard something like walking in the road by some mail boxes. It was so faint and not consistent that I shrugged it off. I went back in the house leaving my front door open for Lilly to run back in. While I waited for her I put the food out and changed laundry. Not seeing Lilly yet I went back to the porch to call her in. She didnt come with the first call so I moved further out to the end of my porch to call again. I looked to my right and there was a man standing not more than four feet away from me. I first saw his back and then he turned and looked at me. It was so out of place it didnt seem real. I dont know him. I asked who he was. He gave me a name. I asked what he was doing in my yard, he just shook his head a little and shrugged his shoulders. I told him to leave, he headed for my closed gate and started walking out. I asked if he lived here, he said no, and then said he was from the east. He was taking his time leaving. I asked what his last name was and he told me. Again I told him to leave. Right after I called 911. I also sent a message to all my neighbors. I have a very good description. My yard is fenced and I have a gate. Ive thought about the possibility that he might have been intoxicated at some point and walked into my yard. What bothered me the most is he stood by my front porch and my door was wide open for at least 5 minutes. Anyhow, just when you feel safe.... L.
