Serious WoW from this weeks Torah portion ...And they were lost from among the congregation (16:33) “Come and see how difficult strife is, whoever participates in strife, the Holy One, Blessed is He, causes his name-sake to be lost.” (Bamidbar Rabbah 18:4) HaRav Chaim Palagi writes : “I have personally seen with my own eyes from the time that I first developed understanding, that any man, woman or family from any country or city that was involved in an argument, neither side emerged innocent, and they were smitten either physically or monetarily, G-d forbid. Whoever comprehends this should delve very deeply into the matter and should always forego, should be the one to give in, whether physically, monetarily or with his honor, and his loss will be compensated by his gain. He will have a good reward in this world and in the world to come, as he is in the category of ‘one who loves peace and chases after peace.’”
