Serious question. Ive been pondering this for awhile: Is eating wild game animals more ethical than eating commercially produced plant foods like boca burgers etc.? Considering that plant foods grown with commercial mono-crop agriculture necessitate killing all competing life forms within a geographic space including mice, birds, reptiles, and insects; If ones motivation is to minimize animal suffering via dietary choices, isnt it better to eat a small piece of a wild animal like elk or deer than to eat a boca burger made from plants that were grown in a veritable genetic wasteland using petrochemicals and pesticides that kill all sorts of life forms? I mean, if 1 deer can provide a healthy meal for, say, 100 people at the cost of 1 life whereas those 100 people eating boca burgers or tofu made with mono-cropped grains or soy are necessarily contributing to numerous animal deaths; Isnt it more compassionate to eat wild than to eat vegan? Seems like in terms of lives lost per meal, wild game is way better than veggie dogs. Am I missing something?
