Sermon Notes for Sunday, June 30, 2013. Whenever we speak of Christian graces - you know the qualities that we as believers must strive after in order to be Christ-like, our minds often settle immediately upon such traits like love and grace, peace and joy, and forgiveness and compassion. We often miss out on less popular graces such as being tender of heart. Perhaps it is because in a world marked by arrogance, aggression and autocracy it is natural to believe that to be tender hearted is to set oneself up for failure, or worse, abuse. Yet Paul exhorts us, or I should say, commands us to cultivate the grace of tender heartedness. And so this morning I would like to join the apostle Paul in challenging us all to be tender-hearted.
